At BoboKids Art Club, art is more than making something “pretty.” Our STEAM + Art classes blend science, design, and imagination so children learn transferable skills they’ll carry everywhere:

  • Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving – experimenting, testing, and improving ideas.

Each class ends with a surprising outcome — from colour-changing “alchemy” paintings to collaborative future cities.

  • The curriculum is delivered through a series of sessions, each lasting up to 60 minutes. Every class follows a playful yet structured format:

    • Warm-up Game (movement, teamwork, fun)

    • Exploration (hands-on experiments + making)

    • Concept (kid-friendly art + science idea)

    • Artist Reference (real-world inspiration)

    • Guiding Questions (critical thinking)

    • Outcome (artwork, invention, or collaborative piece)

    Themes range from Alchemy of Colour and Future Cities to Sound to Sight and Inventing Machines — blending art, science, design, and imagination.

  • Led by trained Fine Artist (DBS + Safeguarding certified)

    Our classes are designed and taught by experienced art educators with backgrounds in STEAM, child development, and creative practice. Lessons are carefully scaffolded to balance freedom of exploration with gentle guidance, ensuring children feel supported but never constrained.

  • We focus on helping children:

    • Experiment like scientists (chemistry of colour, gravity painting, sound waves).

    • Build like designers & engineers (biomimicry nests, future cities, moving machines).

    • Imagine like artists & storytellers (emotions walls, cosmic explorers, algorithmic murals).

    • Think like philosophers (asking “Do numbers have beauty?” “What would a city feel like?”).

    • Across various sessions, children will:

      • Mix natural pigments and explore colour-changing reactions.

      • Create tessellation prints and golden ratio spirals.

      • Use pendulums and centrifugal force to paint.

      • Build nests, cocoons, and futuristic structures.

      • Sculpt with light, sound, and shadows.

      • Turn code, rules, and algorithms into playful artworks.

      • Invent their own fantastical machines.

      • Curate and host their own end-of-term Makers’ Museum exhibition for parents.

  • By the end of the course, children will:

    • Develop creative confidence and resilience in problem-solving.

    • Strengthen fine motor skills and hands-on building ability.

    • Gain exposure to diverse, contemporary artists and art forms.

    • Learn how to express feelings, ideas, and questions through art.

    • Experience teamwork, empathy, and collaboration through group projects.

    • Showcase their work in a culminating exhibition for parents and peers.

    • Meaningful After-School Time – kids unwind, create, and think deeply instead of just passively consuming screens.

    • Whole-Child Development – sessions build curiosity, problem-solving, and confidence, while supporting social growth.

    • Community & Celebration – children collaborate, learn to value each other’s ideas, and share their work in a final showcase.
